  • A highly shock absorbent and durable foam material which absorbs impact forces and reduce the general pressure on your bone system and protecting them from injuries.
  • Ortholite insoles provide the highest quality and comfortable shoe insoles to support the unique structure of the human foot. Through advanced proprietary technology, Ortholite's polyurethane and recycled rubber-based formula holds the distinction of being the only open cell foam insole combining long-lasting cushioning, breathability and durability.
  • STEALTH rubber creates extremely high friction due to its fine balance of viscosity and elasticity, meaning it flows into microporous cavities on all surfaces. This enhances your grip as the rubber is penetrating more of the surface thus creating a better bond. Learn More

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally the perfect approach shoe! I have been using low cut approach shoes for years and always hated having brush and gravel end up in my shoes while hiking in.. The mid height of the Terrex Scope solves that problem! They do seem to run a little large so you may want to go down a size from your normal shoe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too Narrow Going to return these and I am hoping a size larger will work, but this looks so narrow. Could not get my foot in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight, trendy shoes I bought these shoes about two weeks ago and had the chance to give it a test run throughout Linville Gorge in North Carolina. The shoe is impressively lightweight, the shoes are about the same weight as my Chaco's (sandals), if not slightly lighter. The waterproofing seems to hold up, although I didn't test it in depths above 2-3". Other than one big slip on some wet rocks during a heavy rain, the approach rubber was confidence ensuing on most scrambling and bouldery approaches. The lacing system allows you to pop the shoe on and off quickly which is nice for hopping between crags and climbs; that being said, I'm worried about the integrity of the lacing system and unsure of how long the eyelets will hold out. I can already see wear on them and some stitching starting to pull. As for fit, if I would have ordered half a size smaller than my normal shoe size it would have been a perfect fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits like a glove! I just received these in the mail today. I really search and research gear and shoes are no exception. The Scope is very comfortable from the moment I slipped it on. While I haven't worn them in a canyon yet, I doubt I'm going to have any issues. I bought them for the Stealth rubber sole and because they are a high top. I haven't decided if the gore-tex is a bonus or not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect balance of size and weight As an avid mountaineer, hunter, outdoorsman and a veteran, I wore many different boots to include: approach, mountaineering (leather and plastic), military (jungle boots, leather boots jump boots and cold weather boots). For the design and use of the Terrex Scope GTX series, far beats most boots on the market. I used: Raichle, La Sportiva, Asolo and Haix. The Adidas Terrex Scope GTX is the best boot for me to date. There is a perfect balance of size, width, balance and craftsmanship. The boots are light weight and kept my feet warm in 10 degree Fahrenheit wet snow! I ended up purchasing a second pair because of the comfort and snug fit. It also helps out I use the GSG series for running and workouts! Buy a pair today, you will not be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great overall hiking and approach shoe Disclaimer; as a grassroots athlete for Adidas and professional mountain guide, I get to try quite a bit of the gear. I picked up these shoes desiring a high top approach shoe with some waterproof-ability. While admittedly the shoes don't climb as well as some approach shoes on the market (-1 star for use in technical terrain), they excel on the trail, and do a wonderful job of keeping your feet dry. Then I took them to the Himalaya for a month long expedition, where I fell in love with the comfort, just the right degree of stiffness for extended trekking, and how warm they are in colder temps. For those features, plus improved stickiness over a typical hiking shoe, I give them two thumbs up and would recommend them to anyone that has a average to slightly narrow fitting foot. I am using them in my true size, but some people prefer going down a size as they can run long. Buy two pairs and keep the ones that fit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Comfortable Fitting Hiking Boot I bought this shoe a few weeks ago and I'm very happy with the fit and extreme comfort. I'm not hiking, yet. But, nest year after my foot surgery I will be able to hit the trails with my Terrex Scopes. My foot is right between regular and wide. So, I usually look for a wide shoe. And my feet measure closer to 9. I went with 9.5. Like I said the fit is great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quite Comfortable! I ordered these in a Size 11, (my normal size), and they felt too tight at the toe with thick socks on. So, I put on some thinner socks and they felt quite comfortable. I'm going to send my second pair back to try them in a Size 11.5 or 12 to see if that works better with thick socks...
