Technologies

  • STEALTH rubber creates extremely high friction due to its fine balance of viscosity and elasticity, meaning it flows into microporous cavities on all surfaces. This enhances your grip as the rubber is penetrating more of the surface thus creating a better bond. Learn More
  • Pro-modorator was designed for people whose soles tilt inwards and thereby need a support under the heel. This tilts the sole into the right direction: an extremely lightweight midsole support system made out of thermoplastic urethane (TPU).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect shoe for platform pedals I was looking for a shoe to provide grip for platform pedals, as well as traction off the bike. This fits the bill perfectly. I mainly ride XC, and my pedals are Spank Spikes. It is a great combo. The stealth sole is very grippy, even when caked with sand, and the tread lugs provide outstanding traction off the bike. I also like that the sole is a bit stiffer at the ball of your foot to transfer power to the pedals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent flat pedal shoe Owned my pair for 6 months, came back here to se if there were any other colors available. These are nice and grippy, have great comfort and support for the hike a bike. No issues with build quality so far. Ill get another pair when these eventually wear out. Previous shoes were Teva Links, these are just a bit stiffer in the mid foot, which is a good thing for longer rides. It doesn't affect walk ability at all, but you notice it a bit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great MTB Shoes Just switched from clipless to platforms and needed a good MTB shoe. Glad I found these. I tried on a pair of Five Tens and they were too narrow. I got these shoes based on other reviews and they fit great for my wider foot. The grip with the right pedal combo is almost as good as clipless. They have a stiff enough platform to absorb impacts but are very comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy so far... but... I ordered these because I was looking for a shoe that would dry reasonably well (mesh) and have rubber protection all around (which it does) and have stealth rubber (which it does). To be honest, the stealth rubber was primary. So far, the shoe fits as expected but not sure the stealth rubber is the same stealth rubber I have used on previous 5.10 Domes or Guide Tennies. Doesn't quite seem as sticky initially, but I'm hoping it will wear in once I get in some Utah canyons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mountain bike show. I have never owned a mountain bike shoe so I don't have a lot to compare to. I choose the Adidas because I can't stand how other mountain bikes shoes look. I can say that the they look great and are knight and day over just wearing regular athletic shoes. They have great grip and are a little more stiff in the sole which helps with pedaling. They also have some nice protection in the front from rocks and roots. I would recommend them to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really pleased I wore out a pair of 5.10 Freerider VXi and my old school Impact Low are on their last legs. I wanted something with grip, comfortable, stiff, lighter than a boat anchor, but with a good pedal feel. I'm happy to report that the Terrex lives up to the hype and my expectations. Fit and finish on the shoes is excellent. Colors are understated and not garish. Fit is true to size and while I have wide feet (100mm wide at the widest part of my forefoot) and high arches (about 90mm at the highest point) the Terrex are wide enough and comfortable to wear. In terms of power transfer the Terrex feels stiff enough but I can still get a feel for the pedal. Grip is really good but not too sticky which I prefer as it makes it easy to move my foot around if I want to but sticky enough that I don't end up with unwanted slips. The Terrex had a quick break-in time and I don't really notice it as a newer shoe during my rides which to me is a good sign. All in all I wish I had jumped on the Terrex train earlier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shoe!!! I bought these as replacements for another Adidas outdoor product. They are just as I expected. They are the correct first, very durable, have some orthopedic fit qualities for support, and the soles are solid as a rock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from None Better! I was fairly happy with Teva Links shoes that wore out and was bummed to learn it appears they are not made any more - couldn't find them anywhere over a size 8. So I went looking for a replacement shoe and scored big time finding these. These are way better. Ride with these on flats for 2 minutes and you'll know. These are the best, the top price/performance deal in MTB flat pedal shoes you'll find. I use Rove Answer flat pedals on a Specialized Epic trail bike. The Stealth rubber sole (same as Five Ten, different "tread" pattern) hooks up really solid with the pins for efficient transfer via a smooth quad/hammy stroke. So much like being clipped in, but I'm free to get off the bike like I want. Plus, these are lighter than Five Tens, fit great, and I think look better. I'm an 11.5 and typically get 12's because I have a wide foot. 12's were just right. Comfy to walk around too, and the toe and heel tread is great for hike a bike sections, or just kicking around. They are marking soles, so be aware you don't mess somebody's floors up. So glad I found these shoes.
